Quality workmanship

Reliability
We turn up when we say we will, quote when we say we will, and finish when we say we will.
Pride in the work
Tidy sites, protected surfaces and a property left the way we'd want our own left.
Local and accountable
Based in Murwillumbah, working across the Tweed. Our family name is on every van.
A Family tradition of painting, built on experience and pride.
Nathan is the owner of Five Star Painting & Plastering and a qualified painter and decorator with decades of hands-on experience in the trade.
Painting has always been a family trade. Nathan served his apprenticeship under the guidance of his father, where he learned the importance of proper preparation, quality workmanship and taking pride in every job — values that have stayed with him throughout his career.
Today, that tradition continues, with four of Nathan’s six sons following him into the painting trade and learning under their father’s guidance.
That makes Five Star Painting & Plastering a genuine three-generation painting family, with skills, knowledge and pride in the trade being passed from father to son.
Nathan remains hands-on in the business, working alongside his team and overseeing projects to ensure the standard of workmanship reflects the reputation Five Star has built throughout the Northern Rivers and surrounding areas.
For Nathan and his family, painting isn’t simply about applying a coat of paint. It’s about doing the preparation properly, using quality products and leaving behind work they’re proud to put the Five Star name to.
